Brian Clarke has been a professional editor since 1986.
After many years as a government editor and information officer, Brian established BizWordz, specialising in editing, proofreading, copywriting, and plain English writing.
Brian works with business people, research scientists, government agencies, corporations, independent authors, startups, education providers, community groups, and self-publishers on an extensive range of publications.
He has experience in many subject areas, including infrastructure, animal health, computer science, biography, fisheries science, health, sugarcane research, history, engineering, environment, humour, distance education, and journalism.
He is a full member of the Institute of Professional Editors Limited (IPEd), and of Editors Queensland. In 2006, he was admitted to the panel of Preferred Editors and Proofreaders for the Queensland Government.
Brian has a BA in Journalism and English, and a Graduate Certificate in Writing, Editing and Publishing from The University of Queensland.
